The lake is only 400 m away. In the neighbouring towns, there are public bathing beaches, which are also ideal for children. Cannobio also has ideal wind conditions for surfing and sailing.
With its numerous shops, cafés, restaurants, bars, and the well-known Sunday market, Cannobio is only 3 km away. With its picturesque lakeside promenade and the harbour, it is one of the most beautiful places on the lake.
Getting there
From Cannobio from the south:
take the SS34 to ‘Carmine Inferiore’. Immediately after the sign for ‘Carmine inferiore’, turn right onto a steep private road (Via alla Traversa) that climbs the hillside to the houses of Carmine.

Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub in einer wirklich traumhaften, modernen und sehr sauberen Ferienwohnung verbracht. Die Lage mit der fantastischen Aussicht ist klasse und wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wer hier was negatives findet ist selber schuld. Die Wohnung war einfach spitzenmäßig. Es wurde an alles gedacht, sei es an ausreichendem Geschirr und Besteck, Schiebetüren, die sich lautlos schließen lassen, eine hochwertige W-Land-Box usw. ... (aktuell auch ein Grill vorhanden)
Das Bad ist neuwertig und hochwertig eingerichtet, die Betten mit Blick auf den See und die Berge bequem . Es gibt zahlreiche deutschsprachige Fernsehprogramme, für ev. Regentage. An sonst spielt das schönste Kino auf der Terrasse und ist kostenlos. Wir hatten das Glück, dass die Wohnungen/Häuser im Umkreis nicht bewohnt waren und es daher extrem ruhig war.
Ausflugstipps: - Val Bavona und Onseronetal (mit Abzweig Vergeletto) mit dem Fahrrad natürlich.
Der Markt in Luino kann man haben.... in Cannobio ist man auch gut bedient.
