The extravagant house is only 3 km from the sea, sea beach and daily supplies. The famous Jan Thiel Beach with its restaurants, shops and supermarket is close by.

Wir waren in den letzten drei Wochen Gäste im Haus Casa del Sol. Die Überreste dessen, was einst zweifellos ein wunderschönes Zuhause gewesen sein muss. Leider schreiben wir bereits in der Vergangenheitsform, da das Haus jetzt – August 2019 – sehr in die Jahre gekommen ist und einer gründlichen Renovierung bedarf. Es scheint, dass die Sanierung bereits mehrere Jahre früher hätte erfolgen sollen und dies ging auch aus dem (nicht gut) versteckten Gästebuch hervor, in dem ab 2018 ein Abwärtstrend bei der Bewertung des Hauses zu lesen ist.
Fast alles, was kaputt gehen kann, ist bereits kaputt oder ging kaputt. Trotz der Hilfe von Manager Stephan mussten wir uns – in keiner bestimmten Reihenfolge – mit Mängeln am Schwimmbad (Pumpe), Strom (Stopp), Spülmaschine, Wasserhähnen, verstopften und undichten Waschbecken, Duschwanne, Klimaanlage in verschiedenen Schlafzimmern befassen , elektrisches Tor usw.
Darüber hinaus ist das Haus (und die Terrasse und der Pool) nicht nur sehr veraltet, sondern auch nicht sauber – oder besser gesagt – schmutzig. Die Schimmelflecken in den Duschwannen, jede Menge Mäusekot in den verschiedenen Küchenschränken, sowohl die Bettwäsche als auch die Handtücher sind zerrissen und voller Flecken, die für uns unklar, aber deutlich sichtbar sind, die Kleiderschränke, die stinken, die Küche, die ebenfalls dreckig ist als Schwimmbad (als Sammelplatz für Pflanzenreste und verstorbene Insekten) und als krönenden Abschluss eine tote Maus in einem Küchenschrank. Ein schönes Haus mit Swimmingpool in wunderschöner Lage, aber vielen Dingen (Technik/Inventar) im Haus wurde nicht genug Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt, um sie rechtzeitig auszutauschen/reparieren, so dass sie während unseres Aufenthaltes für ziemliche Irritationen gesorgt haben. In der Nachbarschaft wimmelt es auch ziemlich von Hunden, und sie halten es für notwendig, zu den seltsamsten Zeiten, bis spät in die Nacht, ständig alles und jedes anzubellen.
