The region offers beautiful walking and cycling routes, along the city canals, through the forest (2 km), or along the lake (5 km). A visit to the historic center of Groenlo (70 m) with many sights is worthwhile, as is a day trip to Winterswijk, Bredevoort, Doetinchem, Enschede, Zutphen, Deventer, or even Germany (6.6 km to the border).
