Holiday destination
The holiday home is in a quiet holiday complex on Lac de Lacnau, in the midst of the forest, 10 km from the Atlantic.
The area is typical of the Atlantic region: flat with high pine trees, only in the direction of the Atlantic do the dunes form a wavy landscape that is crossed everywhere by cycling paths.
In the south in Arachon there are the Pila dunes, in the north the vineyards of the Médoc.
Bordeaux is only 45 km away and with its sights such as the Grand Theatre, the Porte de Cailhau or the Cathédrale St. André, it is always worth a visit.
Getting there
By car: via Bordeaux, Rocade, Lacanau exit, about 40 km, drive toward Lacanau-Océan just before Lacanau-Ville. At the roundabout, turn into Marina de Talaris, take a right past the reception and then left into the side road until you come to the entrance to Chlorophylle on the left, then immediate right and follow the road to number 441, Amour fou on the right side (see map, which you will receive after booking).

Die Umgebung des Hauses war sehr schön. Atlantik und Binnensee waren gut zu erreichen, auch mit Fahrrad. Das Haus selbst ist ein in die Jahre gekommenes Holzhaus. Es machte auf uns einen ziemlich verwahrlosten Eindruck. Das Haus war vollgepackt mit persönlichen Dingen der Besitzerin. Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Anders als in der Beschreibung angegeben, ist das Haus keinesfalls behindertengerecht.

Das Haus amour fou ist eine einfache jedoch liebevoll ausgestattete Hütte in einem wunderschönen Kiefernwald. Es hat genug Platz für eine Familie -wir waren zwei Erwachsene, zwei Kinder und eine Hündin und haben im oberen Stock gut geschlafen. Das Haus ist sauber, gepflegt und komplett ausgestattet, um sich vollständig selbst zu versorgen. Die Küche hat absolut alles was man zum Kochen braucht. Der Garten war leider vertrocknet. Er ist aber vollständig eingezäunt, so dass ein Hund frei laufen kann. Morgens haben wir gerne die einfachen Fahrräder genutzt, um in Lacanau ocean eine halbe Stunde entfernt Frühstück zu holen oder einen Kaffee zu trinken. Die Strände sind wunderschön, auch im August nicht überlaufen und die Kinder 12 und 9 hatten viel Spaß in den Wellen. Gerne wollen wir noch einmal kommen.
