Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel unexpectedly, the following conditions apply:
If you cancel due to Corona measures, no costs will be charged. If you cancel for other reasons, the normal conditions apply.
- If you cancel between 4 weeks and 2 weeks before the arrival date, 50% of the rental sum will be charged.
- If you cancel within 2 weeks before the arrival date, the full rental sum will be charged.
- Cancellations can be communicated via email.
We strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you this insurance.

Holiday destination
Schagerbrug is located near the most beautiful sandy beaches of the Netherlands. Just a mere 6 kilometers away from the sandy beach and the North Sea! An ideal accommodation for anglers, with fishing waters by the house. Moreover, it is the sunniest area.
Not far from Schagerbrug lies the small town of Schagen with its beautifully picturesque residential houses from the previous century and the weekly market on Thursdays.
Getting there
From Amsterdam / Alkmaar:
Follow the A9 towards (Haarlem) Alkmaar - Den Helder.
At Alkmaar, take the Ring West - N9 - Den Helder exit
Leave the roundabout (at Rotonde Alkmaar) at the third exit and follow the direction to Den Helder (via N9).
Continue towards Den Helder along the North Holland Canal. About 26 km. Then turn right towards Schagen. Along the canal again. At the first traffic lights, turn right over the bridge into Schagerbrug, then immediately right again (Grote Sloot), after 200 m you will arrive at your accommodation.

Host informationWe are Bas and Jet Buchwaldt and since 2016 we have been living in this beautiful place with our boys Teun and Siem. Our pets are chickens, ducks, and rabbits. In 2020, we started renting out our holiday home "de Wilde Eend".

Absolut empfehlenswertes, wunderschönes Ferienhaus, in dem an alles gedacht wurde. Jet und Bas sind herzliche Gastgeber, die einem das gute Gefühl geben willkommen zu sein.
Zur Begrüßung eine Flasche Wein, zum Abschied ein Glas Honig von den eigenen Bienen. Und in der Mitte eine tolle Ferienwoche in sehr guter Lage.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist noch der phantastische Garten mit vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten, für uns das Highlight bei schönem Wetter. Hier mit einer Tasse Kaffee die Seele baumeln lassen, besser geht es nicht.

In diesem schmucken kleinen, liebevoll eingerichteten Häuschen und dem wunderschönen Garten, vergisst man den Altagsstress sehr schnell. Man hat alles was man braucht. Die sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber geben einem das Gefühl zu Hause zu sein. Die gute Lage ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für viele tolle Ausflüge, vor allem auch mit dem Fahrrad, mit etwas Glück auch zum angeln. Wir können De Wilde Eend von Jet und Bas mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen.
