Holiday destination
The World Heritage Site Middle Rhine Valley invites you to hike on the Rhine steep path and Wispertrail. The cultural offer in the Rheingau is enormous. In Lorch, the parish church of St. Martin with the high altar from 1483 is worth a guided tour. There are numerous places to stop for refreshments and shopping in the village. Visit the surrounding castles or the Rheinpfalz Kaub, take a boat trip with the white fleet, take the cable car to the Niederwald in Aulhausen.....
Getting there
Train: Lorch is located at the railway line Frankfurt - Wiesbaden - Koblenz/Neuwied Train stops are located in Lorch (Rhine) and Lorchhausen. By car: From direction Frankfurt / Wiesbaden, A66 in the direction of Rüdesheim, B42 to Lorch, turn right from B42 to Lorch/Wispertal, after the railway underpass turn left before Bäckerei Driess, then turn right at the fire station into Jahnstraße, which continues into the street "Am Rebenhang" until house no. 55. Coming from Cologne, take the A3 towards Frankfurt until the Dernbach junction, take the A48 towards Koblenz until the Bendorf/Neuwied junction, keep going towards Koblenz/Vallendar, follow the B42 towards Rüdesheim until Lorch, turn left off the B42 to Lorch. From Bonn (motorway A61): by ferry- take the A61 in the direction of Koblenz/Mainz to the Rheinböllen junction, turn right in the direction of Bacharach, in Bacharach turn right onto the B9 in the direction of Mainz, in Niederheimbach turn left to the Rhine ferry to Lorch, Departure times of the Rhine ferry: www.mittelrhein-faehre.de, in Lorch turn left onto B 42, then turn right at the main entrance of B 42 to Lorch without using the ferry: take the A61 in the direction of Koblenz until the Koblenz junction, change to the A48 in the direction of Koblenz until the Bendorf/Neuwied junction, follow the B42 in the direction of Rüdesheim until Lorch, turn left off the B42 to Lorch Airplane: Lorch is about 65 km from Frankfurt Airport and about 50 km from Frankfurt Hahn Airport. Ferry or ship: Ferry connections between Lorch and Niederheimbach: www.mittelrhein-faehre.de With the Köln-Düsseldorfer or the Bingen-Rüdesheimer you can go directly to Lorch. Dieses große und geräumige Haus in Lorch hatte alles, was wir sieben Weintouristen uns wünschen konnten. Der Blick auf den Rhein ist wirklich fantastisch, und die Küche ist modern und gut ausgestattet. Die Terrasse ist perfekt für Abendessen im Freien. Das Haus ist hochwertig und verfügt über drei Toiletten sowie zwei Badezimmer mit Dusche oder Badewanne. Wir konnten drei Autos parken, eines davon an der Straße. Die vier Schlafzimmer, drei mit Doppelbetten und eines mit Einzelbett, sind bequem, und es ist ruhig und friedlich. Eine charmante Bäckerei im Ort ist zu Fuß erreichbar, und sowohl Supermarkt als auch Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Lorch ist wunderschön und alt, der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für unsere Weinausflüge in der Region.

Mehr geht nicht... Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit im Haus am Rebenhang, das keine Wünsche übrig lässt. Die Ausblicke und die Nähe zum Fluss sind fantastisch. Unser Lieblingsplatz war die Bank auf der Terrasse, von der aus wir unzählige Schiffe und tolle Sonnenuntergänge beobachtet haben. Eigentlich wollten wir gar nicht aus dem Haus gehen, aber das charmante Lorch und Umgebung laden zum Bummeln und Erkunden ein. Für uns war es die perfekte Auszeit, danke dafür!
