Holiday destination
The house is located at the upper edge of the small fishing village of Seccheto, on the south side of the island of Elba. Only 250m from the sandy beach and bathing rocks. And only a few minutes from Cavoli, one of the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean. A nature path leads from the house over rocks and through reeds to the nearby mountain stream with washed-out rocks and natural pools. There you can enjoy the peace and quiet in the shade away from the beaches.
Getting there
The port of embarkation to Elba is Piombino. The crossing to Elba (Portoferraio) takes about 1 hour. The cost for 1 car + 2 passengers varies between about Euro 60 and Euro 95 depending on the season for a one-way trip . From Portoferraio to Seccheto you need about 40 min. by car. When booking you will receive a discount code from me which you can use online to save 20% on the fare for car and passengers return. If you arrive by train: the station of "Piombino Marittima" is just opposite the jetty. From Portoferraio there are hourly buses to Seccheto in summer.

Wir haben 2 Wochen in dem wundervollen Casa dei Gatti verbracht. Ein magischer Ort im Einklang mit der Natur, sehr gemütlich, mit viel Liebe eingerichtet mit ganz besonderen Interieur-Highlights, toller Beleuchtung. Auf der speziell wunderschönen Terrasse haben wir unser Frühstück genossen und gemütliche Abende verbracht, die obere Lounge-Terrasse lädt zum Entspannen und Sonnenbaden ein mit tollem Blick auf Seccheto und das Meer. Man kann von dort aus direkt los wandern und auch benachbarte Strände gut erreichen. Sehr gute Ausstattung, herzlicher Empfang, tolle Lage. Seccheto finden wir toll, ursprünglich, es gibt alles was benötigt wird Strand, Einkauf, Bäcker, Apotheke inkl. leckere Restaurants, wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt, in das Casa dei Gatti und Elba verliebt und kommen ganz bald wieder.
