Holiday destination
De Koog is the seaside resort on Texel right by the North Sea, where most shops and restaurants can be found. Here, you'll have the easiest access to the beach and there are plenty of options to explore the island. There are numerous bicycle and moped rental services. The bus line runs directly from the ferry to De Koog. Bringing cars to Texel is recommended, as the island is quite large compared to other Wadden Islands. From Den Helder, it's a 15-minute ferry ride. Texel boasts beautiful nature.
