Holiday destination
De Koog is the seaside resort on Texel right by the North Sea, where most shops and restaurants are located. Here, you can easily access the beach and there are numerous ways to explore the island. There are plenty of bicycle and moped rental services. The bus line goes directly from the ferry to De Koog. Bringing a car to Texel is recommended, as the island is quite large compared to other Wadden Islands. From Den Helder, it's a 15-minute ferry ride. Texel boasts beautiful nature.
