Chalet am Sonnenhang is located in the middle of the Unesco World Heritage area and only 100m from the ski lift and Oberdorf lift. The 50 sqm flat comprises 1 bedroom, 1 living/dining room, shower/WC and ski cellar. Up to 4 guests enjoy cosy Valais flair on an upscale level. All rooms are wood-panelled, kitchen, shower, floors and heating have been recently renovated. The equipment is complete, fondue, raclette, free WLAN, satellite TV available. Washing machine and dryer are in the ski cellar. The balcony offers a unique south-west view of the Matterhorn and Hochwallis.
We regularly use the apartment ourselves and have furnished it according to our taste with wood and rock grey. The apartment is not a soulless holiday home, but a lovingly designed place to enjoy and recharge your batteries.

In the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site at an altitude of 2000m, you can expect car-free mountain air, 300 days of sunshine a year, guaranteed snow from December to April, 100km of pistes, countless hiking and biking routes and the largest glacier in the Alps, the Aletsch Glacier. All infrastructure such as doctor, pharmacy, bank, grocery stores, restaurants etc. are available in the village.
Arrival is easy: the Betten valley station in the Rhone Valley has a railway station, bus, ticket office and parking spaces. The large cabin to Bettmeralp goes up about every 20 minutes to a natural paradise that has been part of the first UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Swiss Alps since 2001. From the Bettmeralp cable car station in 5 minutes on foot to the chalet am Sonnenhang .
