The holiday estate is part of the municipality of Bibbiena, the largest town in Casentino, a forest-rich and still very pristine region in the heart of Tuscany.
Not yet discovered by mass tourism, life here is largely among locals, but there are no great distances to cover when you want to visit the many magnificent art and cultural cities of Tuscany.
You can reach Arezzo in 30 minutes by car, Florence in about 1 hour, and Siena, San Gimignano, Cortona, Perugia, and many others can be visited on comfortable day trips. Even the immediate surroundings offer many enchanting opportunities to spend a holiday day and make wonderful discoveries. Visit the monastery of Camaldoli, the pilgrimage site and the monastery La Verna, known through Saint Francis of Assisi, enjoy the romantic corners of the small towns Stia, Pratovecchio, Poppi, Rassina - castles, churches, quiet corners, narrow alleys, but also typical osterias, ristorantes, ice cream parlors, pizzerias, many small mom-and-pop shops, of course, supermarkets and weekly markets: there is something for every taste.
If you happen to be visiting on the first weekend of a month, do not miss the large antiques market in Arezzo, a colorful hustle and bustle throughout the old town, hundreds of exhibitors, and a great atmosphere are definitely worth a visit - you might even snag a "bargain".
Shopping: although this Tuscan holiday home is nestled in the midst of green nature, it is just a few minutes to the nearest village, where you will find shops of all kinds, banks, post offices, café-bars, supermarkets, and a large, modern shopping center for every need. We will gladly send you detailed information about everything you need to know.
The approach to the Tuscan holiday home is via a private road in good condition, so there is no traffic along the property, ensuring unrestricted peace and quiet.
Sports opportunities nearby: the area is ideal for walkers, with wonderful walks both on the property and outside, in good air and without traffic. Mountain bikers will find plenty to enjoy throughout Casentino, with good paths, curves, hills, and also steeper, mountainous trails everywhere; 3 mountain bikes are available. There is a foosball table and a ping-pong table. Tennis courts are available in the next village, a riding school is not far away, and about 8 km away (in the small town of Poppi) there is a golf course in a great panoramic location with a restaurant. For those who enjoy fishing, the small private lake of the Tuscan holiday home, which is stocked with carp, offers a delightful pastime.
