From Enkhuizen, a ferry will take you to the famous Zuiderzee Open Air Museum and the fascinating historical indoor museum. On foot, you can reach the "Vooroever Project", go sailing, swimming, surfing, or simply relax.
A supermarket is about a ten-minute bike ride away, and the large Deen supermarket is even open on Sundays for you. It's about a five-minute drive there.
At the beginning of the park, there is a good restaurant with a good value for money.
The golf course is 1500 meters away.
Numerous restaurants, shops, and nightclubs complete the offerings. Medemblik is also the home port for the historic steam train that shuttles between the picturesque towns of Medemblik and Enkhuizen. Medemblik is not only famous for its modern sailing center but also for the cozy harbor and the fully restored Radboud Castle.
Arrival by car:
From Amsterdam, take the A7 to Medemblik.
Then follow the sign "De Vooroever" and shortly before the Ijsselmeer on the right, you'll see a golf course (18 holes) and then the entrance next to the restaurant to "De Vlietlanden".
If you are arriving by car, there are two parking spaces on the property. Additionally, there are free parking spaces available in the park (less than a minute's walk).
Arrival by public transport:
Take the ICE train from Amsterdam to Hoorn station, for example.
From there, line 415 goes directly to the holiday park (stop: Groote Vliet), taking about 50 minutes.
Alternatively, take the express bus from Hoorn to Medemblik for 20 minutes and then a taxi for about 5 to 10 minutes from there.
Or you can take a taxi directly from Hoorn to the holiday park, which takes about 25 minutes.
