Cape Coral offers something for everyone! Regardless of whether you are in love, with families, with friends or those seeking peace and quiet, there is a suitable leisure activity for everyone. If you want to go out and don't want to enjoy the great private villa, you can reach the offshore islands such as Sanibel or Captiva Island by car or boat. Visit a natural park there, hike along the deserted wild paths, treat yourself to lunch in one of the great restaurants with an incomparable view of the Gulf of Mexico. On endless, snow-white sandy beaches you will find more shells than you have ever seen! For children there is a Sea School on Sanibel, where children and adults can learn everything about the underwater flora and fauna. Water parks, golf clubs, tennis courts are available to active and sporty guests. If you like something active but quieter, you can ride a bike along the cycle paths, past crocodiles lounging in the sun. Or explore the canals and mangroves in a kayak, there's a lot to discover! Manatees (sea cows) and sometimes dolphins find their way into the saltwater canals in southern Cape Coral, and you can watch them grazing or catching fish. There is a speedboat from Fort Myers that leaves in the morning and is in Key West until noon. Anyone who wants to visit Key West without driving the long route on the causeway twice will be happy with this offer.
Shopping, outlets, Publix and Walmarts can be found everywhere in Cape Coral, but especially along the Cape Coral Parkway. Maybe this is the right bad weather program for you?
With around 600km of waterways, Cape Coral is also called the “Venice of the USA”. We recommend you rent a boat for a few days and discover Cape Coral by boat. They will love it!
