The hut is located in the wonderful, very popular "Asten" hiking area in Hohe Tauern National Park. You can enjoy a variety of hikes for all difficulty levels. To name just a few peaks: Astnermoos nature trail, loop trail around the Asten, Mohar, Stellkopf and Sadnig.
Getting there
By car from Munich: a) via the Felbertauernstrasse b) via the Grossglockner High Alpine Road (only accessible from May to September!) c) via ÖBB Tauernschleuse via Böckstein By train: Go to either Mallnitz or Lienz transfer to bus; taxi by reservation By plane: The nearest airports are Klagenfurt or Salzburg Key pick-up at Pension Sagritzerwirt: Sagritz 31 9843 Grosskirchheim Carinthia, Austria

Freundlicher Empfang. Sehr schöne Hütte mit viel Platz, voll ausgestattet, sogar mit extra großem Kühlschrank mit Gefrierschrank, Espresso- und Filtermaschine, Brotmaschine, Rührgerät, etc, etc. Das Wetter war eigentlich furchtbar angesagt und ist dann viel schöner gewesen. Es gibt 4 bewirtschaftete Hütten, die ab Anfang Juni öffnen und mit Spaziergängen von 15-45 Min. erreichbar sind ohne groß Höhenmeter zu machen. Ansonsten sind einige Gipfeltouren von der Hütte aus möglich. Wir waren mit zwei kleinen Hunden dort, der Garten ist allerdings nicht ausbruchsssicher und die beiden wären den Murmeltieren, die sich direkt vor der Hütte tummeln allzugerne mal in ihre Löcher gefolgt, da heißt es aufpassen und lieber anleinen. Es war ein Erlebnis, diese putzigen Tierchen direkt vom Küchenfenster aus zu beobachten.

Die Hütte war für uns perfekt. Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche über. Von Kaffeemaschine über Ofen bis zur Geschirrspülmaschine alles war vorhanden. Mein Mann hat sich in euren Kachelofen verliebt Auch die Umgebung ist wirklich empfehlenswert Wer eine Auszeit vom Alltag braucht der muss zu euch kommen. Vielen Dank für dieses schöne Fleckchen Erde Lg Andrea
