Holiday destination
Right by the sea, in the middle of the beach, lies Westkapelle, with a dike, dunes, a small lake/creek, and a forest area to the south of the town.
A hiking trail is marked around the lake, and anglers can find their favored spot. In the town center, there is a small beach where the dike was breached in 1944.
To the south of the town begins the long beach that stretches to Vlissingen! Here you can enjoy an approximately 12 km sandy beach where you can take endlessly long beach walks. Even during a proper southwest storm, this beach route is popular.
In various beach pavilions, you can stop for a good meal, with a fantastic view of the sea.
Getting there
You can arrive and depart every day. Arrival from 4:00 PM (or upon request). Departure by 10:00 AM (or upon request). In the high season, arrival and departure only on Saturday (rental only per week).
