The Makarska Riviera is centrally located and offers numerous opportunities for those who want more than just a beach holiday, with a variety of excursions and attractions to visit.
The city of Dubrovnik (a World Heritage Site) can be easily reached by public bus or by car in 2 – 3 hours. The drive along the picturesque coast, always with views of the crystal-clear sea and the mountains, is a wonderful experience.
Hiking and mountain bike tours can be undertaken away from the traffic routes.
During the summer months, Podaca offers numerous sports activities such as pedal boating, jet skiing, or boat trips to the beautiful islands of Hvar, Korcula, Brac, or the Peljesac.
Other leisure activities include fishing, climbing, rafting, and paragliding.
Holiday destination
The secluded coves with crystal-clear water, where naturism is also tolerated, are located in the immediate vicinity, just a stone's throw from the holiday property. Solitude and closeness to nature are wonderfully combined.
The beach promenade starts right in front of the holiday home and invites you to take evening walks, during which you can enjoy the exquisite Mediterranean cuisine or a glass of wine in one of the konobas, cafes, or restaurants along the sea.
Just a 5-minute walk from the holiday home, you will find shopping facilities such as a grocery market, a fruit and vegetable stand with a rich fresh selection, as well as a post office.
A private parking space, where your car will be securely parked, is located in the immediate vicinity of the holiday home.
Getting there
The town of Podaca is quite easily accessible by plane, car, bicycle, or even by public transport. It is located exactly between Split and Dubrovnik. Split Airport is only 90 km away. You can also rent a car directly at the airport and reach the holiday home in about 2 – 3 hours. The journey by car from Munich takes about 8 – 10 hours.

Wir waren das zweite Mal in der Wohnung und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und es war alles vorhanden was man benötigt hat. Die Lage war super, lediglich ein paar Meter bis zum Wasser. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und steht für Fragen immer zur Verfügung. Falls wir in ein paar Jahren wieder nach Kroatien fahren werden wir die selbe Wohnung wieder buchen.
