Solanas is a 10-minute drive from Villasimius, the largest tourist destination in the south of Sardinia with numerous shopping and leisure facilities, entertainment and beaches. The wonderful water park Diverland in Quartucciu is a special attraction for the whole family (approx 30 min. by car). Aside from having the best shopping facilities, the capital Cagliari (about 45 min. from Solanas) also offers historic sights in the old part of town, museums, countless gastronomic highlights (in the harbour's marina district), cultural offerings including concerts, theatre, cinema etc., and last but not least the Molentargius Saline Regional Park with thousands of flamingos.
Holiday destination
The village Solanas is a small seaside resort and still unaffected by mass tourism and its negative impacts. The village centre is about 1.5 km from the house and offers its visitors several bars, pizzerias, supermarkets and renowned restaurants (during peak season). There's also a pharmacy, a church and a few grocery stores. The local market offers fresh produce from the Sardinian gastronomy as well as household goods and more; twice a week (Wednesdays & Fridays).
Getting there
Leave the greater area of Cagliari/Quartu and follow the Strada Provinciale (SP 17) to your destination address Via degli anemoni 56 in Solanas. Turn left. The SP17 is a very picturesque, winding coastal road with breathtaking lookout points.
Alternative route: SS 131, then the SS 554 until you reach..., continue on the SS 125. This is a motorway without curves, but you'll drive through several long tunnels.

Sehr schönes Haus in Solana. Sehr gut ausgestattet. Am meisten haben wir den Garten und die Terrasse geliebt. Der Garten ist sehr groß mit sehr schönen Blumen und Pflanzen und komplett eingezäunt, sodass es unserem Hund auch sehr gefallen hat. Der Ausblick ist großartig. Viele tolle Strände mit türkisblauem Wasser schnell zu erreichen. Sehr netter Kontakt zu den Vermietern. Es hat alles super geklappt.

Das ist super schön auf einem kleinen Berg gelegen. Von der Terrasse aus, verliebt man sich schnell in den Blick aufs Meer. Das ist super geeignet für Familien. Es ist alles vorhanden was man brauch, selbst eine Klimaanlage ist da. Ich finde das Häusschen perfekt und empfehle es jedem der einen Urlaubsort sucht wo man weit weg von überfüllten Touristenstädten ist. Mit dem Auto sind es keine 5 Minuten zum Strand, zu Fuß schätze ich sind es 20 Minuten. In der kleinen Stadt Solanas gibt es Restaurants und auch einen kleinen Supermarkt. Wir werden bestimmt nicht das letzte mal hier gewesen sein und bedanken uns für diese unvergessliche Zeit!
