Holiday destination
Do you want to spend a holiday on the coast with the whole family? The holiday home is near the forest on the bird-inhabited Wadden island of Ameland, about 1200 metres from the beach. The village of Ballum is located 800 metres away. Ameland has a great deal of culture in authentic villages and is wonderfully quiet so you can really enjoy the natural surroundings.
You don't have to worry about the kids, they can play to their hearts' content on the trampoline at the house, the playground, the outdoor pool, mini-golf, Ballum Pool (May-Sept).
Getting there
The ferry to Ameland (Nes) leaves from the port of Holwerd (Province of Friesland). By car, motorcycle or bicycle, Holwerd can be reached via the Leeuwarden-Steins road, or Groningen-Drachten-Dokkum. The car is allowed on the island, and can be parked on the car park at the port. Holwerd is also easy to reach with public transport.

Wir waren erneut Gast im Haus Estrella und sind so begeistert wie beim ersten Mal. Die Aufteilung der Zimmer, teilweise mit Bad, war für uns (2 befreundete Familien) optimal. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Kinder liebten das Trampolin und wir Erwachsene genossen bei sonnigem Herbstwetter die Terrasse. Dank der nahen Bushaltestelle konnten wir problemlos ohne Auto anreisen, alles andere haben wir mit Rädern (Einkaufen, Ausflüge) erledigt. Anneke ist eine sehr freundliche und umsichtige Gastgeberin. Wir kommen wieder.

Die gesamte Ausstattung war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Frau Nieboer war eine tolle Vermieterin, die sich wirklich um alles kümmerte. Sogar bei einer kleinen, zugelaufenen Katze hat sie sich sehr bemüht, die Besitzer zu finden.
