The area offers you peace and relaxation amidst beautiful nature with a sea view. The nearest typical restaurants are just a few kilometers away, and for strolling and shopping, Avetrana, Maruggio, or Manduria are 5 or 8 km away, respectively.
You will like the kilometers-long, Caribbean-like sandy beach, only about 2 km away. More fantastic beaches await you in beautiful surroundings.
There are many opportunities for excursions to the attractions of Apulia and the beautiful old town centers. For example, the Messapico Museum in Manduria takes you back in time, and the wine museum is truly unique, including boat trips to see dolphins, etc.
Located in the middle of the natural park, you will find peace and relaxation again and again after a swim in the sea or an excursion, away from the hustle and bustle of summer, in a private atmosphere. Enjoy the beautiful garden with rare trees such as holm oaks, pink pepper, pomegranate, rosemary, lemon, orange, cypress, rockrose, carob trees, and palms.
From the holiday home, beautiful hiking trails begin, such as to Monte Diavolo, where you have a great panoramic view. If you want variety, places like Campomarino or Porto Cesareo offer something for everyone. Or simply let your soul dangle.

das Haus bietet alles, was wir in einigen anderen Häusern in Italien oder Spanien vermisst haben. Es war blitzsauber, frei von störenden Gerüchen (wie Mottenmittel, Chlor, Moder etc.), frei von Schimmel bzw. Feuchtigkeit. Sehr nützlich und voll funktionsfähig war der Mückenschutz, so dass man mit offenen Fenstern ruhig schlafen konnte. Toll ist der große Kühlschrank mit großem Tiefkühlfach. Sehr schön ist das große Bad mit zwei Waschbecken und Bidet. Sehr gut sind auch die Matratzen. Sowohl im Doppelbett als auch im Schlafsofa schläft es sich super ohne Rückenschmerzen zu bekommen. Die große Südterrasse bietet aktuell (Juli) leider zu wenig Schatten um sie tagsüber nutzen zu können. Die Kommunikation zur österreichischen Besitzerin war überaus freundlich und hilfreich.

Der Aufenthalt in der Villa Maruggia hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Wohnung ist zweckmässig eingerichtet. Sehr schöner Sitzplatz. Obwohl nahe am Dorf, ist die Villa in der "Wildnis" gelegen. Auto zwingend. Schlüsselübergabe mit Lucia unkompliziert.
