For active golfers, a visit to the numerous golf courses, such as Het Rijk in Nunspeet, which is just a 15-minute drive away, is highly rewarding. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful golf course in the Veluwe. Thanks to its location in this unique natural area, the numerous ponds and reed belts, the dunes, the playful vistas, and the beautiful panoramic views are typical for the character of this particularly atmospheric 27-hole golf course.
Holiday destination
Bad Hoophuizen is centrally and rurally located between Harderwijk and Nunspeet.
You can enjoy beautiful walks and bike rides. The bicycle rental is right on site. The many routes take you past the most beautiful spots, through cozy little villages, extensive forests, windmills, horse paddocks, farms, and small cafes and nice restaurants.
Visit the Hanseatic city of Harderwijk, where you can find a beautiful contrast of modern and old, such as the aqueduct and the old city wall.
Of course, a visit to Elburg should not be missed, a beautiful city surrounded by magnificent ramparts with fish-rich canals and remnants of the city wall.
Children can have fun at the Dolphinarium in Harderwijk or at Walibi World in Biddinghuizen.
The Veluwe region is known not only for its beautiful nature but also for its numerous museums, heritage buildings, and castles.
An eventful day in Amsterdam can start in just under an hour by car. Or take a leisurely train ride from Nunspeet station.
Getting there
A1 towards Amersfoort, then A28 towards Zwolle. Take the Harderwijk exit, towards Hierden/Hulshorst. Follow the signs for Bad Hoophuizen.
Host informationWe are a small family and enjoy our beautiful beach house right on the Veluwemeer.
We love the peace and nature - and have fun with the optimal conditions for water sports. Just a few minutes walk on the beach to the marina. The sailing surfboards and surfboards are in the garden, and our son and father are just a few steps away in the water. When the wind dies down, we enjoy stand-up paddling or a canoe trip. Cooling off or swimming in the summer is just a few steps away. We travel a lot by bike. In the summer, we enjoy the endless bike paths in the forest and enjoy a coffee break at the Staverden Estate. In the spring, we ride along the water to the small picturesque harbor town of Elburg or to Harderwyjk for a fish meal.
Yes, we are very much in love with our picturesque spot right by the sea and enjoy the fireplace evenings in the rain or wrapped up warmly in the first sun on the rooftop terrace. Our little paradise!!
