The Sunnehüsli is located away from mass tourism and yet centrally located for activities of all types. The Schluchsee - one of the large Black Forest lakes, is about 15 km away, ideal for swimming, boating, sailing and surfing. In a half an hour by car you can be at the Titisee, in 45 minutes on the Feldberg (1495 m) or at the Triberg waterfalls, in 60 minutes in the university town of Freiburg im Breisgau or at Lake Constance.
The Swiss border is 20 minutes away, the Rhine waterfall and the picturesque old town of Schaffhausen are not far away. Great excursion locations are Zurich, Alsace, the Europapark in Rust and the Schwäbische Alb. Nearby, Donaueschingen with the source of the Danube and the castle of the princes of Fürstenberg, the Löffingen wild animal park, the Schluchtsee and naturally the romantic Wutach Gorge are great places to visit.
The area is perfect for Nordic skiing. The nearest groomed trails are in Bonndorf. There is a ski lift in Wutach-Ewattingen. The Feldberg has guaranteed snow, 45 minutes away. There is a sled at the house.
The 'Obere Alp golf course V'in Stühlingen is about 15 minutes away by car. This is a 9 and 18 hole course in a lovely landscape.
Holiday destination
The community of Wutach is made up of three villages. In Münchingen you will find two inns, church and children's playground.
Not far from our holiday home there is a lovely sports area with a grilling area. In Ewattingen there is a seasonal pool, in Bonndorf (4 km) there is a outdoor pool.
In the immediate vicinity of the house the Wutach Gorge hiking region starts, which is well connected to the hiking paths. The run of the Wutach, framed by jagged cliffs is a unique natural interplay and offers the visitor new and interesting impressions. The rich and unspoilt nature and plant world of the nature reserve makes this holiday region so attractive.
The nearest shopping is located in the small city of Bonndorf, 4 km away. There's everything you need: supermarkets, all types of shops, banks, post office, inns, cafes, outdoor pool, bowling alley, boules pitch, mini golf course, a little castle with exhibitions and concerts, Fasnet museum, spa, pharmacy and doctors.
Getting there
By car:
A5 (Karlsruhe-Basel) to Freiburg, via Titisee, Lenzkirch and Bonndorf to Wutach-Münchingen.
A81 (Heilbronn-Singen) to Donaueschingen, via Mundelfingen and Wutach-Ewattingen to Wutach-Münchingen.
Turn onto the Kirchstrasse in the town centre.

Ich verbrachte nicht zum ersten Mal wieder mit Karli eine wunderschöne Abschaltwoche auf dem idyllisch
gelegenen Häusle von Frau Pitsch-Schweikert. Karli, Vierfüßler mit Hundeschnauze, hat sich sofort wieder
ausgekannt und sofort die Spur der oft im Garten herum streunenden Katze aufgenommen - während ich
mich genüsslich auf das Nichtstun vorbereitete. Zum Nachmachen empfohlen!

Ein uriges, gemütliches Haus mit toller Ausstattung. Das historische Gebäude hat ganz viel Charme, und man macht hier auf die angenehmste Art eine kleine Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit und muss dennoch auf nichts verzichten. Alles ist vorhanden, die kleine Küche ist z. B. sehr gut ausgstattet. Man merkt, dass die Besitzer das Haus selber auch nutzen - es wurde an alles gedacht. Wer es modern, chic oder totsaniert möchte, ist hier an der falschen Stelle. Alles ist einfach und solide, aber mit ganz viel Atmosphäre. Die Lage am Dorfrand ist herrlich ruhig und dennoch nicht einsam. Man kann direkt in die Wutachschlucht loswandern und die Natur genießen. Ein besonderes Ferienhaus mit einem unschlagbaren Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
