In the summer, the beautiful mountains of the Salzburg region invite you to numerous excursion destinations. Here you can hike, do Nordic walking, mountain biking, climbing, or refresh yourself in clear mountain lakes as you please. A network of over 60 km of well-signposted hiking trails at all altitudes and varied routes with different levels of difficulty will lead you through the fascinating mountain world.
At the nearby Durlaßboden reservoir at 1,300 meters above sea level near Gerlos, you have the opportunity to enjoy the summer to the fullest. Whether swimming, sailing, boating, or barbecuing is up to you.
A special attraction of the area is the Krimml Waterfalls, with a drop height of 390 m. The waterfall trail leads nature enthusiasts very close to the natural spectacle with numerous viewing platforms, bridges, and pulpits.
Holiday destination
Our holiday apartment is located in the mountain village of Silberleiten (1700 meters). From here, you have the perfect starting point to one of the most snow-reliable ski areas that Austria has to offer - the Zillertal Arena (1,600 - 2,500 meters).
The lift is just a 50-meter walk away. Skiing down right to the house is possible.
In both summer and winter, you can enjoy the sun on the beautiful large roof terrace and the surrounding balcony.

Die Wohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sie ist sehr schön eingerichtet und vom Balkon aus hat man eine sehr schöne Aussicht.
Einzigst, das Feriendorf war zu unserer Reisezeit quasi wie ausgestorben. Fast alle Wohnungen waren unbewohnt und alle Geschäfte geschlossen. Wir mögen zwar die Ruhe, aber so hat es sich verlassen angefühlt. Von daher, obwohl es wirklich eine sehr schöne Wohnung ist, würden wir wahrscheinlich nicht mehr im Frühling zum Wandern, in ein "Winterferiendorf" kommen, leider.
