Near Rastenburg: Wolfschanze - Hitler's headquarters with bunkers deep in the forest and marsh area.
Mamerki: on the Masurian canal with the best retained bunker system from the 2nd World War with submarine. Nearby there is a diverse climbing park with rope jumping platform for children/adolescents.
Olsztyn: University town with Lyna Castle/park in the English style. Street cafes, jazz festival (July)
Kady: baroque castle with French garden style and famous full-blood stud farm.
Mikołajki: Picturesque, historic town for strolling and shopping - the Masurian Venice.

Holiday destination
The Masures are the most exceptional landscape in Europe with breathtaking wild nature: rich animal world, dense forests, blooming hills, numerous crystal clear lakes, moor and marsh areas. Extensive canals - a paradise for canoe lovers - with dense reed beds. The climate is very balanced, sunny warm summer alternating with snowy winters. A unique Eldorado for nature lovers, individualists, sailors and active people looking for peace and quiet.
Getting there
Arriving by car:
From Berlin on the A3 toward Warsaw (Warszawa).
From Munich A9/A4 Frankfurt on the A5/A4 to Breslau (Wroclaw). Then on the S8 towards Warsaw (Warszawa). After Warsaw (Warszawa) towards Gdansk (Danzig) - Ostrołęka -Mrągowo-Kętrzyn towards Wegorzewo to the destination Stawki - Welcome!
Arriving by air:
Many airlines offer economical direct flights to Gdansk (Danzig) or Warsaw (Warszawa) (270 km from Wegorzewo, about 3.5 hours of drive time). You can also order a rental car.
Arrival is also possible at the new airport of Olsztyn-Mazury in Szymany (100 kilometres from the destination). Upon request we can provide transfer services.

Eine wunderbare luxuriöse Anlage mit einem super netten Gastgeber! Dies wird man in Deutschland vergeblich suchen, weil hier alles inklusive ist, vom WC Papier bis zum Holz für den Kamin und den Zuber. Sehr schön ist auch die Sauna und jeder Gast hat genügend Platz im schönen Garten. Vielen Dank Stanislaw.
