Mönkeberg is a municipality with 3,500 inhabitants and is also a popular holiday and bathing resort on the east bank of the Kiel Fjord. The place impresses with an excellent infrastructure that is popular with everyone and is particularly appreciated by families with children. Schools, sports facilities as well as shops, doctors and pharmacies can be easily reached via short routes. Mönkeberg is not only on the sunny side of the Kiel Fjord with its wide white sandy beaches, but also on the lovely natural landscape of the Probstei with its idyllic lakes, forests and romantic villages. Sailing, swimming, deep-sea fishing, hiking, cycling, tennis or golf are just a few of the many leisure opportunities in the immediate vicinity. The cultural and gastronomic offer in this region is just as attractive.
Last but not least, the uncomplicated and quick connection options to the B 502 and the neighboring towns of Heikendorf, Laboe and Kiel as well as the well-developed network of public transport make the location particularly attractive for residents and holiday guests. The Mönkeberger See nature reserve is located directly behind the house.

Das Ferienhaus war teils mit modernen Möbeln eingerichtet. Es waren reichlich Geschirr und Küchengeräte vorhanden. Die Schlafsituation war für uns mäßig, da für die angeblichen 8 möglichen Gäste, das Wohnzimmer belegt wird, das haben wir leider überlesen.Es stehen 1 Doppelbett und 2 Einzelbetten in 3 Schlafräumen zur Verfügung . Als Tipp, einfach ein 140cm Bett statt 90cm rein stellen. Das schafft angemessene Schlafplätze und ein freies Wohnzimmer. Zum Ausenbereich .. eine schöne große Terrasse, jedoch hätte man wenigstens die schrottreifen Fahrräder beräumen,die Stühle aus der Brombeere schneiden und die Baustelle am Haus absperren können. Das Carport hat auch bessere Tage gehabt, da ist teils das Holz gebrochen. Sollte erneuert werden. Nun zur Reinigung. Im Bad gründlicher putzen.

Das Haus ist schön gelegen, gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar und gut ausgestattet. Die Verteilung der Schlafplätze im Obergeschoss war für uns als Familie sehr praktisch. Das Bad ist ganz toll. Sehr nett war auch ein kleiner, gut gefüllter Korb mit Kaffee und kleinen Köstlichkeiten!
Zum Traumferienhaus müsste allerdings, bei dem aufgerufenen Preis, noch eine Schippe draufgelegt werden, es haperte an einigen Details. Uns fiel auf, dass die Reinigung gründlicher sein könnte, so erwarten wir z.B. geputzte Fenster. Negativ fielen weiterhin kleinere Defekte, wie kaputte Lampen oder Plissees und Fliegengittern auf, der Fernseher funktionierte ebenso nicht (wir sind technikaffin). Der Sandkasten bräuchte mal frischen Sand (sowie eine Abdeckung, damit er nicht von Katzen besucht wird).
