Holiday destination
We are more than happy to give any advice or information to our guests at any time. Fishing (salt- and freshwater), golfing, sailing, paddling, surfing, hill walking or simply relaxing in the garden are just some of the activities you can enjoy here. Especially fishing for salmon and sea trout in 5 productive rivers is worth mentioning: as we fish here ourselves, guiding can be organized as well as obtaining the necessary licenses. Guests should be comfortable with animals. We currently have 2 horses/ ponies, rooster and chickens and a dog... wireless internet, password at the house.
Getting there
Flight: from Hahn, Hamburg, Bremen, Memmingen and Munich to Cork or to Dublin, Kerry or Limerick
Airport transfer: We are happy to arrange a fee for guests who do not want to travel in Ireland. The same applies to purchases or e.g. Day trips to the pretty towns in the area such as Schull, Bantry, Skibbereen, Clonakilty or Glengariff. We are happy to bring you to events or e.g. Deep sea fishing trips.
Ferry: from Cherbourgh to Rosslare or Roscof to Cobh / Cork

Host informationI am a native German and an Irish fan. We have been living with our daughters on the so-called Irish Riviera for quite some time in West Cork on Dunmanus Bay at the Wild Atlantic Way. We enjoy life on our own 2 ha of land, private driveway, no noise.

Das erst kürzlich renovierte Cottage ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Wir haben auf den Matratzen gut geschlafen, es gibt für verschiedene Bedürfnisse unterschiedliche Sitzmöglichkeiten, die geschmackvoll ausgesucht sind. Die ausgesuchten Farben (Teppiche, Gardinen, Kissen) scheinen miteinander, aber auch mit den Farben der Landschaft, der See zu harmonieren.
Es ist Literatur zu Irland, zu den umliegenden Örtlichkeiten vorhanden, WLAN und ein deutsches TV-Programm.
Die Lage bei der Dunmanus-Bay mit dem Blick auf sie und den Atlantik, die Hügel von Mizen Head, lösen viel Ruhe, Entschleunigung aus. Die Stille wird paradoxerweise hörbar. Das Farmleben geschieht im Hintergrund.
Sabrina und Stephen empfingen uns mit großer Gastfreundschaft, sie boten ihre Unterstützung an, wo sie nötig zu sein schien.

Und wieder war ich zutiefst beeindruckt von der Landschaft, der Gemütlichkeit des Cottages der Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastgeber. Alle Menschen die ich hier getroffen habe sind unglaublich freundlich. Hier kann man abschalten, runterkommen und echte Seeluft atmen. Echter Urlaub für echte Erholung.
