Das Haus ist geräumig und liegt zusammen mit einem anderen Haus auf einem riesigen Grundstück von 800.000 m2. Diese Fläche wird für landwirtschaftliche Zwecke wie Olivenanbau, Haselnussanbau und Edelkastanienanbau genutzt. Der Pool ist in Ordnung und wird täglich gereinigt, muss aber mit den Bewohnern des anderen Hauses geteilt werden. Zudem sind für die maximal 18 Personen, die in den beiden Häusern untergebracht werden können, nur sehr wenige Betten vorhanden.
Das Haus ist geräumig, aber schlicht eingerichtet, wie es in Italien auf diesem Preisniveau üblich ist.
Es stellte sich heraus, dass unsere Spülmaschine kaputt war, ebenso wie die unserer Freunde, die mit uns im Haus wohnten. Wir ließen schnell eine neue Spülmaschine einbauen, unsere Freunde jedoch nicht.
Entgegen unseren Erwartungen hatten wir eine Waschmaschine, die wir mit unseren Freunden teilen konnten.
Einziger wirklicher Nachteil unseres Hauses war unserer Meinung nach die Lärmbelästigung. Die Entfernung von unserem Eingangstor (mit Fernbedienung) bis zu unserem Haus betrug etwa 150 Meter, aber nach 50 Metern fuhr man erst einmal unter einem Eisenbahnviadukt hindurch! Ab 5:30 Uhr morgens fuhren jede Stunde 1 oder 2 Züge darüber und das war wirklich nervig, obwohl einige Leute natürlich stärker betroffen waren als andere. Es hat unseren Urlaub nicht ruiniert oder so, aber es wäre der einzige Grund, warum wir wahrscheinlich nicht wieder hierher kommen werden.
Die Gegend ist wunderschön. Es ist nicht so schön wie die Toskana (und vielleicht deshalb viel weniger touristisch, wir waren kilometerweit die einzigen Ausländer), aber es ist wunderschön. Außerhalb Roms sind vor allem die Dörfer weniger besonders als in der Toskana. Der Strand ist innerhalb einer halben Stunde erreichbar und ist vom Castello Santa Severa aus leicht zu erreichen. Er ist sowohl ein öffentlicher als auch ein privater Strand. Der Braccianosee ist schön, aber nicht spektakulär.
