In summer you can swim in our clear mountain lakes. Mittenwald has a small skiing area for families as well as Germany's longest ski slope for experienced skiers, the so-called "Dammkar".

Holiday destination

Since Mittenwald is centrally located, you have numerous destinations in the vicinity as for example Innsbruck, Munich, Neuschwanstein castle, Linderhof castle. Or you could also go on the Zugspitze. We have hiking trails with different levels of difficulty from easy trails to challenging mountain tours. You can also go on numerous mountain bike tours with all levels of difficulty. Not to forget the many lakes in the vicinity.
