Cancellation policy
If THE RENTER cannot take the holiday as planned, he must notify THE OWNER as soon as possible to find a solution.
Cancellations received 60 days or more prior to THE RENTER’s arrival date are refundable in full except for the reservation deposit. The reservation deposit will be paid back also, if the accommodation could be rented out under the same conditions, except for a handling fee of USD 100.
Any cancellation made 60 days or less to THE RENTER’s arrival date will be refundable only if the home could be rented to a replacement tenant under the same conditions. A handling fee of USD 100 will be deducted.
THE OWNER strongly recommends a travel-insurance that may reimburse for pre-paid, non-refundable expenses due to certain unforeseeable circumstances that may jeopardize the vacation investment and force to incur unplanned expenses.

A great number of wonderful beaches in a few miles distance, Oscar Scherer State Park, Myakka River State Park, Historic Spanish Point, Bush Gardens in Tampa, Shopping in numerous malls around, outlets in Ellenton and Estero and a lot more. Ask for recommendations!
Holiday destination
For good reason you decided to spend your vacation in South Venice, a calm and likable community. The unique feature is the community-owned private beach, an idyllic and beautiful beach you can reach quickly with a ferry. The ferry port and the boat ramp both are just 3 minutes away by car from your accommodation. The pass for the ferry is of course included in your rate.
Manasota Beach, Englewood Beach, Caspersen Beach, Venice Beach or Siesta Beach are other terrific and renowned beaches around. Did you know Venice is called the “Shark Tooth Capital of the World”? Caspersen and Venice Beach are known for their abundance of fossilized shark teeth. Dig with your hands or use a sieve to sift out these prehistoric fossils.
With Shamrock Park you will have a wonderful community park with walking, jogging and biking trails, tennis courts and a large playground just around the corner. Shamrock Park also connects you to an extensive network of biking paths. In Lemon Bay Preserve, only minutes away from the house, you will enjoy unspoiled nature and – with some luck – meet a bird you will find only in this part of the world: the Florida Scrub Jay!
Golf lovers will be thrilled about the huge selection of top golf courses.
Shopping will be easy with Publix, Walmart Supercenter, a bundle of other shops, restaurants, gas stations, banks etc in a 5-minute ride by car.

Host informationSince more than 30 years we travel through the USA. I love this country with all its different people, landscapes and cultures. When I was in Florida for the first time, I was fascinated by the tropical nature with the wonderful flora and fauna. The southwestern gulf coast is my favorite area. We have been guests in a lot of vacation homes before – and I started dreaming of having one for my own. In Venice we found the perfect place. Surrounded by a lot of nature, yet centrally located to many attractions. And we took the chance and started our project Vacation Home!
