This lovely newly refurbished holiday apartment for four once used to be part of the ensemble of Glücksburg’s Observatory in the Foerdestrasse. This is where Flensburg’s distinguished merchants and shipping company owners once built their summer houses. It provides a spacious and generous combined dining- and living-room with a fully equipped open kitchen. The interior design offers elegant modern Danish style furniture with country-house elements that create a cozy atmosphere and invite you to spend a wonderfully relaxing time here, at any season. Two bedrooms make the apartment complete. The spacious master bedroom opens to a private, furnished covered balcony, ideal to end the day with a sundowner. The second bedroom comes with a stock-bed for two. The white tiled, day light bathroom with access from the corridor offers a bath tub and overhead shower. In front of the house you can dispose of a terrace, heading south-west and a shared garden, providing sunshine all afternoon.
The house is situated at the bottom of a dead end street, leading directly to the promenade and the lovely natural yachting harbor. An ideal starting point for all kinds of activities, ranging from days on the beach to sailing trips, sports and wellness of any kind or just long relaxing walks, e.g. with your dog in the nearby beach-and wood areas specially designated for dogs…

Glücksburg is situated at the southern shore of the Flensburg Fjord. The medieval “water”- castle that gave the town its name, is well known as the craddle of Europe’s royal families and tells the changing and eventful history of the region. You’ll find our vacation home just next to the yachting harbour in which the Flensburger Segel-Club and the Hanseatische Yachtschule are at home and which has been awarded as Germany’s most beautiful coastal marina. The beach and the “Foerdeland Therme” are only 200 m away. In Gluecksburg you’ll also find the hotel “Alter Meierhof” with Dirk Luther’s two-star restaurant “Meierei”. The hotel’s exclusive wellness area welcomes external guests as well. Moreover Glücksburg offers an 18-hole golfcourse: the “Foerde Golf Club”.
