Other recreational opportunities
In May starts the mushroom season in the Odenwald by good weather with summer mushrooms. A little later follow the russulas and chanterelles in the deciduous forest. Beginning from August the usual autumn fungi follow in the coniferous forests. In the varied landscape interested observers see some rare plants and animals (for example, white helleborine, spotted salamander).
Holiday destination
Outside the door is a specially varied landscape with vast forests divided by fertile valleys. Popular destinations: Ruin of Rodenstein, Michelstadt-Erbach, Bergstraße, Miltenberg (with shipping!), Odenwälder Felsenmeer, Heidelberg, Messel Pit, Museum Embankment of Frankfurt. In case of bad weather we recommend a visit to the nearby Odenwald-Therme. The restaurants in the nearby places and small towns offer a good regional cuisine at reasonable prices.
Getting there
Wallbach is above Brensbach on the B38. From the north (Darmstadt / Reinheim), merge onto the B38 at the first branch direction Brensbach (gas station and traffic lights) over and take only the next turn (direction Brombachtal) left. From the south (Bensheim, Heppenheim, Weinheim) Coming this is the first branch direction Brensbach. In the following roundabout, turn off towards Brombachtal / Wallbach. A few minutes after leaving the village branches off to the left the road to Wall Bach from. Caution: Do not turn in the first wide road to the sign but a little later, when a sign clearly showing the direction Wallbach. In the village, follow the main road until the Eiergasse after branching diagonally left.

Whenever it is possible we take out our dogs in the woods and fields. Das nette kleine Häuschen war für uns als Ehepaar perfekt und wir hatten mit den beiden Hunden ausreichend Platz. Gemütliche Lesestunden im Garten verbracht, dem plätschern des Baches gelauscht. War eine schöne Urlaubswoche, die Umgebung zum Wandern und sightseeing genutzt, in den umliegenden Gaststätten geschlemmt.....prima ! Küche sehr gut ausgestattet und das Schlafzimmer war obergemütlich. Liebe Grüße aus Bischberg

Ich habe mit meinen beiden Kindern und unserem Hund entspannte Tage im Hirtenhaus verbracht. Das Haus war für uns drei perfekt - auch der Hund hat sich wohl gefühlt. Es war sehr sauber, ordentlich und alles vorhanden, was wir benötigt haben. Die Vermieter sind zuvorkommend und freundlich. Der Ort selber ist klein und verfügt über keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten( der nächste Ort mit Supermarkt ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt). Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder.
