Holiday destination
The village of Canville La Roque is in the national parc des marais du contentin, a protected conservation area. The countryside is unchanged and undeveloped, most of the land is farmed and the fields often contain cows and horses. The coastline is beautiful and also unspoiled, even in summer the beaches are uncrowded and shelve gently for safe swimming. There are a good selection of shops and restaurants in Portbail, and plenty to see and visit (castles, gardens and many sporting activities)

Das Haus ist abseits und ruhig gelegen. Es ist sehr geräumig, ansprechend möbliert, mit schönen Bildern dekoriert. Schöne Küche, sehr schöne zwei Badezimmer. Wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt in dem Haus.
Die Matratzen im kleinen Schlafzimmer sind durchgelegen.
Die Bäckerei, angeblich nur einen kleinen Spaziergang entfernt, ist wohl schon lange geschlossen, ebenso die Bäckerei im nächsten Ort. Frisches Baguette zum Frühstück, auf das wir uns in Frankreich immer besonders freuen, gibt es erst bei zwei sehr guten Bäckern in Portbail, 8 km entfernt.
Wir hatten während der 14 Tage unseres Aufenthalts keinen Kontakt mit unseren Gastgebern.
Trotz mehreren stürmischen Tagen mit viel Regen hat uns unser Urlaub in der Normandie sehr gefallen. Die Menschen sind freundlich und zugewandt.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in dem Ferienhaus, das Haus ist super gepflegt und der Garten für die Hunde gut eingezäunt. Auch der Vermieter ist freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
