Holiday destination
Carolinensiel/ Harlesiel is a picturesque little town on the North Sea coast boasting three harbours, a museum harbour with lots of interesting old boats, a marina and a ferry port from where you can catch a ferry to the island Wangerooge.
Lots of enjoyable restaurants, cafés and tearooms invite tourists as well as locals to relax and indulge in delicious treats. There are nice little shops where you can browse around to your heart´s content.
The town is situated quite close to Jever (brewery), Wittmund and Aurich, and about a 45-minute drive from Wilhelmshaven with lots of museums and shops.
Getting there
How to get there:
By car: A1/ A29 to Wilhelmshaven, exit “Jever”, follow the signs to Wittmund/ Carolinensiel, in the roundabout right before Carolinensiel take the first exit and continue on the new bypass, turn right just after a little traffic island into the new housing estate and you will see the cottage “Harleglueck” right in front of you.
By train to Wittmund or Wilhelmshaven, then continue by bus to Carolinensiel.

Wir haben den Urlaub als Familie (2 Erwachsene + 2 Kinder) im Haus Harleglück verbracht. Das Haus sehr schön und gut aufgeteilt. Sehr hervorzuheben ist die komplette Ausstattung des Hauses. Es fehlt an nichts, ob in der Küche, im Bad oder im Schlafraum. Es ist alles vorhanden, was benötigt wird oder wie man es von zu Hause kennt. Das Haus befindet sich zentral gelegen in einer Spielstraße mit einer kleine Terasse und Garten. Hier konnten wir unsere Kinder ruhig spielen lassen. Füßläufig ist alles zu erreichen was man zum Leben braucht. Es war einfach traumhaft. Danke an Familie Schneider, dass wir das Haus spontan buchen konnten.

Anl. einer Hochzeit waren wir für einige Tage in Carolinensiel im sehr schönen Ferienhaus der Familie Schneider. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist wirklich komplett und hochwertig ausgestattet, selbst Kuchenbackformen und einen Pürierstab gibt es!
Zum einkaufen (und frische Brötchen holen) ist es ein Katzensprung, zum Fahrradverleih oder Hafen, zu Restaurants und Souvenirshops ein kurzer Spaziergang. Zum Hafen von Harlesiel, wo z.Bsp. die Fähre nach Wangerooge ablegt/ankommt, sind es ca. 2 Kilometer.
Der Kontakt zu Familie Schneider war sehr nett. Wir können das Haus bzw. die Doppelhaushälfte zu 100% weiterempfehlen.
