You will spend your holidays near the "Frisian Wehde", a natural hiking area. Take trips to Bremerhaven or the town of Jever to the brewery museum. You can also visit Oldenburg, the city on the Hunte river, where you can relax, wander and shop.
The Varel harbour with its maritime flair is thriving as a popular destination. Motor and sailing boats come in and out of here and you can watch the colourful activity in cosy cafés. Along the canal there is plenty to discover, including good fish restaurants. The nearby North Sea resort Dangast offers you culture in the Kurhauscafé - warm rhubarb cake - with an idyllic view of the Jade Bay.
