Holiday destination
The village of Pitsidia is lokated 65 km southwest of Iraklion,just before
the magnificent bay of Messara. Pitsidia is a quiet village,with long tradition and
hospitality. The surrounding landscape is of exceptional natural beauty with
archeological and historical sites.
At the distance of 1500 m.lies the long sandy beach and the antiquities of Kommos.
Getting there
By plane or ferry to Heraklion or Chania.
From Iraklion you can use the local bus
or you can rent a car, also we can order a taxi for you.

Wir waren mit 2 Familien mit Kindern in der Villa Irida. Sie ist sehr großzügig und für 2 Familien gut geeignet. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Alle Zimmer, bis auf das auf das halb-offene Schlafzimmer, sind klimatisiert und haben bequeme Betten. Der Garten ist mit vielen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten angelegt, der Pool schön groß. Die Besitzer sind immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Zwei kleinere technische Problem wurden sofort und unkompliziert behoben. Der Ort, mit vielen Tavernen, ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Der Supermarkt vor Ort hat alles was man braucht. Der Bäcker sowie der Metzger sind ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir bezogen die Villa zu viert als Familie mit 2 Kindern. Sie liegt traumhaft schön mit einem Blick über Pitsidia ohne jegliche Nachbarn.
Die Ausstattung ist super, alles nahezu neuwertig. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen Strandurlaub benötigt, sogar Sonnenschirme, Beachball etc. Ein Tischkicker oder ein Billiardtisch wäre das "Tüpfelchen auf dem i" für unsere Kinder gewesen.
Ganz günstig ist der Spaß allerdings nicht - es war das bisher teuerste Ferienhaus, welches wir gemietet hatten.
Leider gibt es in der Umgebung nicht allzu viele Möglichkeiten, Ausflüge zu machen - gerade für etwas ältere Kinder.
Wir hatten zu unserer Urlaubszeit auch sehr starken Wind, so dass wir tagelang nicht an den Strand gehen konnten.
Die Gastgeber sind beide sehr nett und hilfsbereit!
