Mureck is an oasis of relaxation. The vacation here becomes an experience for all senses; not only nature enthusiasts rave about the natural jewel of the almost untouched Mur valleys with its rich fauna and flora.
A highlight is the Mureck ship mill with the mill courtyard – enjoy this idyll through our private access to the Mur promenade.
The unique old town flair, the idyllic landscape, and the regional seasonal cuisine – offered by the host upon request in the house – make the town of Mureck the ideal vacation spot for the whole family, especially with its leisure, cycling, and cultural offerings.
Our house is located right by the mill stream, the Mur, and the floodplain forest.
The house offers a newly and modernly furnished vacation apartment (75m2) on the ground floor for up to 5 people: living room, children's room, bedroom, and cozy eat-in kitchen with a table stove, a large bathroom with a shower and washing machine. The toilet is separate.
On the top floor, there is a second modern nostalgically furnished vacation apartment (73m2) with a living room that has an open kitchen and dining area, a spacious bedroom, bathroom, shower, toilet, and washing machine, as well as a large southwest-facing balcony overlooking the Mur valleys and Obermureck Castle for 4 people. Both apartments are equipped with a DVD player and an extensive CD and DVD collection. Upon request, we also offer a bread service from the Slovenian Mura bakery for our guests.
Four bicycles, including helmets, are available for free to explore the surroundings. Additionally, children's cribs and highchairs are provided.
The Murradweg R2 runs right past our 3000m2 property. The entire premises are fenced, making them ideal for the free run of pets. Ducks, gray geese, and chickens are beloved permanent guests here.
The large garden with green space offers a place for cozy hours under the vine arbor with a platter of snacks. Spend relaxing hours on our covered mill stream terrace with a grill and cooling options for drinks, etc. It is also possible to bake waffles for children upon request. In the basement apartment, there is a large historical and popular history home library.
Leisure games, children's fishing rods, badminton, and soccer are also available. Furthermore, there is a kayak for navigating the mill stream and the Mur. The covered mill stream terrace features a collection of games and coloring books for rainy days. The nearby Bachern mountains and the Windische Bühel of the former Lower Styria invite you to hike and, in winter, to ski. Extensive brochures and literature materials for exploring the surroundings are available. The Mureck ship mill can be reached directly from us via the Mur promenade in about 15 minutes on foot.
