Holiday destination
Mijas-Costa is situated at the gates of Marbella in the heart of the Costa del Sol (Costa del Golf) 230m above sea level. It is easily accessible via the highway Malaga-Cadiz (AP7). Approximately 40 golf courses are located within its immediate neighbourhood (from Mijas to Sotogrande). Only minutes away are well-maintained sandy beaches and a large dune landscape. Directly at the doorstep is Marbella with its enchanting old town and the famous marina Puerto Banus. The famous towns of Granda, Sevilla, Cordoba and Ronda as well as the Sierra Nevada can be easily reached within a day trip. The "White Villages" of Andalusia are nearby and wonderful places to visit.
Getting there
Calahonda is situated centrally between the airport of Malaga and Marbella. From the airport you drive on the coastal highway towards Marbella and take the exit 200 - Calahonda.
In Calahonda there are grocery shops, pharmacies, doctors, banks, restaurants and bars.
Calahonda has a very nice sandy beach with sunbeds and showers.
The "Club del Sol" is easily reached and offers tennis courts, squash and fitness, as well as the golf course "La Siesta" that is close by.
The city centre and the beautiful historic town of Marbella are only 10-15 minutes away and in the direction of Malaga you get to Fuengirola in 10 minutes and to the centre of Malaga in 30 minutes.
